Stock Controller

Reporting to the Purchasing and Cost Control Manager, the Stock Controller is responsible for the overall stocktaking of food, beverages, cleaning, operational and guest supplies in the main stores and various outlets operated by the Group.

 

Responsibilities:

 

-Assist with the monthly stocktaking using the stock control system

-Analyze stock variances and assist in closing the stock take procedure in the stock control system including posting of stock adjustments

-Prepare stock reports and valuations

-Support the process of purchase orders and deliveries of stocks including the posting of daily transfers and production

-Monitor inventory levels and establish stock per levels to ensure stock availability and prevent overstocking

– Perform regular stock checks and report any differences to Management

-Collaborate with outlet managers to strategize ways to minimize waste

-Check voided and complimentary sales including any discounts allowed

-Assist with any other ad-hoc duties as may be required from time to time

-Build solid relationships across all units at various accounting levels

 

Qualifications & Assets:

 

-At least 2 years’ experience working in a similar position, ideally in the catering/hospitality industries
-Ability to integrate and work well in a team environment
-Possess time management skills
-Knowledge of Shireburn SFM and SIMS would be considered an asset
-Computer literacy and good command of MS Office applications
-Possess an eye for detail and the ability to work under pressure
-Be able to work on their own initiative, confident and proactive with a high sense of responsibility
-Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-moving environment
-Strong written and verbal communication skills
